Revise and ratify various guidelines and standards

CiviCRM has various policies in place that attempt to foster a safe, inclusive, standard environment in which individuals may engage withe project. Many of the policies in place are a mashup of policies from other projects, in place through recommendation of other organizations, or generated by the CiviCRM community.

There is often confusion around some of these, or general lack of knowledge of them, which has resulted in inconsistent application/enforcement. There also may be some that are missing and should be in place for the community.

  • Terms of use
  • Code of Conduct
  • Trademark & branding
  • Privacy Policy

Note also that, at times, these policies are flexed to benefit certain project stakeholders. Revision should account for how these can support/encourage project pariticipation.

This topic is intended to present an opporuntity to revise/ratify current policies and/or adopt new ones. Any revisions can be made in the following sprint, and greater promotion can be planned then as well.
