After upgrading to v6.6 of this extension, I noticed the "Country where your account is registered" box and set it to US. After I did that and viewed an event registration form, the ApplePay button successfully appeared in Safari, but in Chrome and Firefox, there was no Stripe CC form or button of any kind.

If I switched to our "pay later" option and then back to our credit card option, there was a error message modal that said "Could not load payment element - Is there a problem with your network connection?". In inspecting XHR requests, I did not see any failed connection attempts.

Removing the Country value on the Stripe settings page fixed the issue.

    I'm using CiviCRM 5.37.2 on WordPress 5.7.2.
