Also FWIW and related to the PR, it appears the clear "x" option is missing for radio buttons on front end profiles in 5.81 but working on 5.82.beta1

What's the Smarty version?

IIRC, some variations of this presented differently on (eg) Smarty v2 and Smarty v5.
