[META] Does CiviCRM make it easy for all connection-related configuration to be provided via environment variables: database credentials, key-value database credentials, filesystem, and so on?

It is possible by editing civicrm.settings.php to inject the environment variables.

I'm wondering if a more generic framework might be useful where CiviCRM provides some boilerplate for what strings are required from the environment variables.

This could help since there is so much repetition of variables that need to be assigned.
