External Events
A presence at external conferences is a tactic to grow CiviCRM's market share and something that CiviCRM supporters and contributors are welcome to do on the behalf of CiviCRM. This page contains information to make it as easy as possible for people to attend conferences. Some key things to note:
- It is fine to promote your services in addition to promoting CiviCRM as part of your presence at the event
- If you are attending a conference on behalf of CiviCRM, please ensure that you have added it to the table 'Conferences CiviCRM is attending / has attended' so that we can co-ordinate conferences presence.
- You have access to a CiviCRM booth kit, which has a range of resources to make it easy to put together a conference booth.
Also, you should feel free to collaborate with others when attending a conference. Find other CiviCRM providers nearby that are interested in attending with you. Sharing the stand means that you can share costs of attending and any marketing materials. It also means you don't have to man the stand for the entire conference. Attending a conference on behalf of CiviCRM can be a fairly big investment of time and resources and spreading the load around a few organisations means that you can create a better presence at the conference.
How to represent CiviCRM at a conference
- Check the 'Conferences CiviCRM is attending / has attended' to ensure that there isn't already a lead for the conference you are planning on attending.
- Sign up below.
- Notify the CiviCRM Core Team (info@civicrm.org).
- Optionally coordinate with other supporters and contributors in the area or that may be interested in attending as well.
