Define case study content standards
Define what points and keywords and general format a case study should consist of. Provide examples of high quality case studies for partners.
Recommendation
General
- Content length 2000 - 2500 words
- Paragraph count between 8 and 14 (paragraphs should be around 200 words in length)
- Hierarchical page outline, ideally one H1 with well structured, ordered headings
Content should:
- State the challenge and/or objectives
- Discuss unique-ness of project
- Reference to features used
- Reference relevant extensions
- Focus on relevant keywords we're tracking
- Images (between 3 - 5)
Include links to:
- Provider
- Organization
Include structured data
- Organization type
- Org size
- Features used
- Version/CMS (CiviCRM + WordPress, CiviCRM (standalone), CiviCRM + Drupal, etc.)
The layout & outline on civicrm.com
The general layout and outline of the case study will look like:
- Title (eg "Managing memberships across multiple chapters") - Heading 1
- Excerpt - used only as a teaser summary on archive pages or multi-item elements
- Intro text - provides and introduction to the project - paragraph
- (Optional) Repeatable section that includes
- Section heading (eg: "The Challenge"). Section headings can vary from case study to case study - Heading 2
- Section body - expands on the section heading - paragraph
- Section image - provides visual example of the subject of the section
- Summary - provides paragraph to summarize the project or provide final details - paragraph
- Partner details (if partner present)
- Partner logo
- Link to profile on c.o
- Partner summary (unless provided by partner, default to "about us" text on partner profile page on c.o)
