(lab.c.o) Prevent apt cache leaks
Just had an outage due to full disk. ~30gb (on an allocation of ~70gb) were used up by old copies of gitlab-*.deb
in /var/cache/apt
. Each copy of gitlab-*.deb
was 700-800mb, and there were a bunch.
Dunno if there's a good reason to keep these caches around a bit extra (e.g. in case something fails and you need to investigate/rollback)?
Probably makes sense to have a standardized step to run apt-get clean
or perhaps find ... -mtime ... -delete
periodically.
