INFRA-9 Selenium logging crashes test boxes
Selenium is launched in the background (via screen). The script which launches it specifies a log file, and that log file fills up every few days -- eventually leading Jenkins to disable the node.
These were tried with our current version of Selenium; none worked:
- Omit log option from command-line. (Log isn't generated, but tests are unable to connect to Selenium!)
- Write log to /dev/null (Selenium doesn't launch)
- Replace content of file ("echo > selenium.log")
We most likely need to stop/start Selenium periodically (and delete the log file), although upgrading to a newer version might also help.
