Visualisation scaling doesn't work for click / unsubscribe rate?
Thanks for this very handy extension @artfulrobot
I have an issue though which I'm unsure how to solve.
With email open rates 30-40% and click/unsubscribe rates much lower, the latter are hard to meaningfully see in the visualisation.
I'm not quite sure what could be done because the right hand axis is already used for delivered volume...
My initial proposal would be an alternative to raw delivery numbers that would fit together better, possibly delivery volume as % max over the period you are looking at? I'm not sure how easy to calc in dc/d3 but would imagine that ranging from 100-0% and fitting well on the same axis as open rate.
Then you could have
- left hand axis = open rate + delivery volume % max
- right hand axis = click/unsubscribe rate
The neat thing with this would be the possibility of a set meaningful scaling of the two axis. E.g. use your average click to open rate — and then easily see where click rate line goes above open rate you are doing above average, below vice versa. Similarly set is to average unsubscribe rate. Or use a sector benchmark / your org's target etc etc.
I would be up for having a go implementing but interested in thoughts on the idea first.
