Different Statuses for different payment instruments for recurring transactions before payments start

When you create an EFT recurring transaction, the status on the active recurring contributions tab lists the status as "In Progress" before any payments are made (bottom payment below). When you create a credit card recurring transaction, the status on the active recurring contributions tab lists the status as "Pending" before any payments are made (top payment below).

Seems like the statuses should be the same for the same situation, regardless of payment instrument ("Pending" before any transactions are made seems most logical to me).
