Failed payment blocks member from joining again, should be Pending not Cancelled
Please correct the following errors in the form fields below: Your (Insert Type here) membership was previously cancelled and can not be renewed online. Please contact the site administrator for assistance.
- Attempt to pay with a credit card to join as a member, type the number in wrong so it is declined
- Observe that the membership is created as Cancelled Permanent Override
- If you attempt to Join again or resubmit the form, you are prevented from trying again from the error above
It does not seem a prudent business strategy to prevent prospective members from attempting to join again if their credit card was declined or mistyped a single time.
Set the membership to Pending instead of Cancelled or Cancelled (but not overridden)...whatever allows them to try again
