With the site upgrade underway and [content revisions/rework](https://lab.civicrm.org/marketing/civicrm-website/issues/148) starting, we need to now consider 1) what languages do we translate c.o into and 2) who will do the translation work.
Related, we should consider corresponding [user guide](https://docs.civicrm.org/user/editions) translations for the sake of consistency. Right now, we have docs in english, french, spanish and catalan.CiviCRM Website Upgradehttps://lab.civicrm.org/marketing/local-sites/-/issues/4Add I18n to civicrm.org (d8)2020-02-03T15:01:44ZnicolAdd I18n to civicrm.org (d8)Install https://www.drupal.org/project/i18n and configure to change the html header on the new content type created https://lab.civicrm.org/marketing/local-sites/issues/3 to show the correct language.Install https://www.drupal.org/project/i18n and configure to change the html header on the new content type created https://lab.civicrm.org/marketing/local-sites/issues/3 to show the correct language.Create Standalone Pages for languages on CiviCRM.orghttps://lab.civicrm.org/marketing/local-sites/-/issues/3Setup content type for individual pages2019-12-06T10:24:03ZnicolSetup content type for individual pages* [x] Decide a naming protocol: /es /de or /espanol /deutsch — SEO

Our ambition would not be to get business ourselves but to grow the ecosystem. Based on our own experience we believe a country or region would need 2 elements to take off:
- a group of interested NGO's that are willing to be the pioneers in their region
- a partner that can provide support but also take the lead in organizing the local meetups and CiviCamps
So we thought to come up with 2 messages:
1. CiviCRM is a good option for a non profit in Norway (with the showcase of MAF Norge)
1. Being a partner is a nice and viable way to earn a living in the open source world and have an impact on society
As we are no marketeers whatsoever I approached a guy I know who is partner at a marketing agency and he has agreed to spend half a day with us to find out what the messages would have to be, what we should do to have a maximum chance of being heard. My son is studying Communication and he is happy to do the follow up work as he can use that for his study.
We can also use our contacts at MAF Norge and an international fundraising consultant I know of to find out where we should publish or get attention for our story. If it makes sense I will probably do a CiviCRM meetup in Oslo early 2019.
