Community Summit 2020 and COVID-19

Last night I attended the Core Team call to discuss the COVID-19 pandemic and it's potential impact on the CiviCRM community and, in particular, the Community Summit.

Many events in the United Kingdom are being cancelled or postponed even out as far as November. We also need to consider the impact on people's ability to reach the summit.

The general consensus position of the call (@josh, @eileen, @bgm, @seamuslee, @totten, @colemanw) was that we thought it would be appropriate to cancel the summit and put the energy and effort into one or more virtual events or days however we wanted to open this up for a wider discussion and consideration from the community with a view to making a final decision on this based on the wider community response in April.
