And none of the dropdowns are working for the editor - you just get really long lists of checkboxes.
I was not specifically trying to use the d8 site, just went to the extensions directory in the normal way and clicked the link to add a new extension.
As discussed on mattermost:
@mattwire Those nodes aren't ported yet. Can you open an issue, and I'll update when it's fixed?
(the json feed is still running off the old d7 site. extdir has a ton of tech-debt, and was hoping to get it moved to the new extension manager, but that's unlikely to happen soon, so we might need to port it over to d8..)
As reported by @jaapjansma

First is that our org is missing from the partners page here:
https://civicrm.org/partners-contributors
Second is that I can't find any way to edit/update our org info. I was able to find our org info page at `/providers/name` by guessing the url. But there's no option anywhere (here or elsewhere) for me to edit it. I also don't see how to edit my own personal user account.
Also, note that the "find an expert" link in the top menu doesn't work in some places. (Maybe this should be a separate ticket... oh well.) Here's one such page, where the link points to `/partner-contributors` instead of `/partners-contributors`:

His user is in the https://d8.civicrm.org/admin/people/permissions/security_team role , which has several relevant permissions. I also added him to the blogger role (just in case some of those perms around usable HTML-formats were important). No dice.
Interestingly, he reported that `/node/add/advisory` and `/node/XXX/edit` did seem to work, but the read-oriented URLs (like `/advisory`, `/node/XXX`, or `/advisory/automatically-mapped-node-title`) weren't working. It seems that those pages only work for the (a) the original author and (b) some administrators.https://lab.civicrm.org/marketing/civicrm-website/-/issues/204Subscribing to ESR switches partner membership to regular member2024-03-08T14:27:13ZbgmSubscribing to ESR switches partner membership to regular memberEx: https://civicrm.org/civicrm/contact/view?reset=1&cid=16310

It looks like a field of type entity-reference, and I guess then the outer div gets a class of field--label-inline, which combined with the inner div getting a class of field--items results in the float:left on the inner div.
Doing a css override of
`.field--label-inline .field--items { float: none; }`
or
`.field--label-inline .field--items { float: inherit; }`
should fix it.DaveDDaveDhttps://lab.civicrm.org/marketing/civicrm-website/-/issues/216Mosaico editor failing to load completely2020-05-15T17:44:35Zjoshjosh@civicrm.orgMosaico editor failing to load completelyWhen re-using a past email or attempting to create a new email using Mosaico, the editor appears to not load completely. This process has merged CiviCon and CiviCamp events type - and added options for Sprints, Summits and online multi-speaker events (current working title - CiviLive, but easily changed).
Example:
- old Drupal 7 page - https://civicrm.org/summit/devon-2020
- new Drupal 8 page - https://civicrm.org/events/summit/2020-online
This is now using Gutenberg blocks rather than the quite specific and sometimes stubborn Views in D7. It is for now only designed for single-page event layouts. With Gutenberg it's much easier to long scrollers. It could also be used for multi-page event subsites just by creating multiple pages with this content type, copying content, and then deselecting 'promoted to front-page' so that extra pages doesn't appear as their own event on /events.
The best way to replicate the current layout is to copy and paste an existing event in code view and then edit via visual view as normal. The previous custom fields aren't used other than 'date teaser line', for the view block at /events (and elsewhere), start date, for ordering/display, and header image – in case the slide shows of /civicamp and /civicon are to come back.
Sidenote - have also updated the future events list on /events to list the type of event next to the date (ie Sprint / Global Community Summit / CiviCamp) – maybe makes less sense if there is no name of place in the event title as there normally is.
Steps:
* [x] create content type
* [ ] add fields for register, tagline.
* [ ] create a template to render & format header/custom fields.
Potential further steps:
* [ ] speaker layout, linked to civi listings
* [ ] register a session form
* [ ] sessions layout
* [ ] sponsor levels
* [x] pathauto patterns for event types
* [ ] sponsor listings (logo from CiviCRM record?)

## History
CiviCRM Spark was created in early 2018 with the primary objective of growing the CiviCRM user base by offering a lightweight version of CiviCRM with which users could easily get started. The assumption was that Spark largely competed with the CiviCRM demos (https://civicrm.org/demo) and that, given its limitations, would expose users enough to CiviCRM that they would either determine that it would not fit with their needs or compel them to upgrade to the full version of CiviCRM, either as DIY or with an expert(1). Likewise, we assumed that the majority of potential users would be new to CRMs in general.
In a recent poll of Spark users, 79% indicated that, prior to using Spark, they were using either spreadsheets, desktop databases or nothing at all.
Since launch, Spark has been passively promoted on the primary website for the CiviCRM project, civicrm.org. Over this time, Spark has garnered 249 users, of which 80 (32%) remain current users. In the same poll of Spark users cited above, 74% “stumbled” upon Spark while reviewing the CiviCRM website.
## Rough Analysis
Over the past 2+ years, the Core Team has gathered anecdotal evidence through one on one feedback with users coming off of Spark that suggests that it is achieving its objective of growing the CiviCRM user base. More recently, the Core Team undertook a poll of past users of Spark to determine if they 1) abandoned Spark and CiviCRM altogether, or 2) upgraded to the full download version on their own (DIY), or 3) upgraded to the full download version with the help of a CiviCRM expert.
Of the 20% that responded to the poll, 63% abandoned CiviCRM altogether, 26% upgraded on their own, and 11% upgraded with the help of a CiviCRM expert.
## Why use civicrm.com?
The primary objective of using civicrm.com for Spark is to present it in a much more concise and streamlined manner. In a previously cited poll, approximately half of users that signed up for Spark felt that its presentation on civicrm.org was confusing and unclear. The other half of users felt that the same presentation was helpful and informative.
When it came to actually subscribing to Spark, 32% indicated that they were comfortable that Spark’s capabilities would meet their needs, 58% were uncertain either way, and 10% felt comfortable that Spark would not meet their needs but that the price was low and there was a 30 day refund option.
Most recently, the Core Team has been testing the effectiveness of Google Ads to drive traffic to Spark, resulting in 40k ad impressions and 600 clicks through to https://civicrm.org/spark
Much like civicrm.org is the primary marketing vehicle for CiviCRM, the Core Team believes that civicrm.com could serve as the marketing centerpiece for Spark and that, by focusing Spark there, we stand to improve its presentation and therefore the overall conversion rate for users visiting the site (i.e., resulting in user base growth).
## What would the plan be?
The Core Team would manage civicrm.com and the promotion of Spark. Revenues generated currently are applied to CiviCRM’s infrastructure and would continue to do so. Any surplus over and above the costs of infrastructure would be earmarked for the Marketing Team for CiviCRM.

The date on it was two weeks ago so it appeared in the blog list as if it had been published two weeks ago, behind all the other more recent ones. I almost didn't notice.
Misc thoughts:
1. It's probably some work but if the Publish button could update the article date if it's the first time you click publish for that article.
2. Or allow editing the date.
3. Recently I noticed that, due to the transition to D8, the Google Tag Manager was not firing and requested that it be added back to the site (cross referencing #245). This raised the question again as to whether we want to continue to use GA or drop it altogether.
Note that after some research, it seems that Google Analytics 4, which we may be able to upgrade to soon, could address some of the privacy concerns, though likely not all. At any rate, we'd like to put it to those interested in marketing to provide feedback on keeping GA, swapping it with a different system or perhaps not using any analytics at all.joshjosh@civicrm.orgjoshjosh@civicrm.orghttps://lab.civicrm.org/marketing/civicrm-website/-/issues/249Stripe "unknown error" on civicrm.org2021-01-23T21:25:15ZbgmStripe "unknown error" on civicrm.orgTo reproduce:

We also want to reuse some questions from prior surveys if appropriate in order to compare answers over time.
The intent is to do two surveys. First will be a single question survey oriented toward people who are not very engaged, especially end user organizations: "There is enough money to entirely rework one page in CiviCRM. Which page would you most like to see improved?" Then there would be a medium length survey as well, and people completing the first would have option of doing second too.
Joe would like access to:
a) see old results of Community Survey activities
b) see question custom fields and option values where they exist as answers
c) ability to target 1) less engaged contacts for 1 question survey and 2) more engaged contacts for medium length survey
d) to send emails out to above groups
e) to export responses to csv for analysis in Excel.
Josh needs to authorize this access so Mathieu will know what to do.
Joe is comfortable with alternatives involving other people currently permission in CiviCRM to do tasks above but they would need to agree to do the work.joshjosh@civicrm.orgjoshjosh@civicrm.orghttps://lab.civicrm.org/marketing/civicrm-website/-/issues/252Changes to the Job board permissions2020-12-01T18:14:54ZbgmChanges to the Job board permissionsThe job board is being spammed again.

Currently people can spam the job board by:
* Creating an account
* Validating an email
* Then post using the "job" content type.
The patterns appear to be human. We already have a few measures in place to block them.
So I did the following changes:
* Removed the permission to create Job posts to regular authenticated users (it's the only permission they had)
* Added the permission to create Job posts to the "blog and extensions" role.
I'm also thinking of adding a help message on the user/dashboard page so that people know how they can request the permission.

Two examples we worked on recently are the Outlook 365 integration which is Office 365 plugin and the CiviContact Mobile App. There are a growing number of WordPress plugins and some Drupal modules too that could be listed. None of these are "extensions".

Currently the "Find an Expert" page only lists organisations that pay a fee - it is a paid directory listing.
CiviCRM should help those people and organisations who regularly contribute and add value to the CiviCRM project by referring some CiviCRM business their way. This is just a small measure of what CiviCRM LLC can do as a thank you / compensation / reward for the voluntary contributions that are made and encourages further contributions and new contributors to join in the effort.
This should be an opt-in so that those Contributors can decide whether or not they want to be listed in the "Find an Expert" Directory.
Partner badges can be shown for Partners. Likewise Contributor pages should be shown for Contributors.
Include a filter on the "Find an Expert" page so that people can filter by Partners, Contributors or both. And this filter could then also be used as a redirect link for https://civicrm.org/contributors which would solve #215

Not sure how new case studies are being added to the D7 site at present?
Tasks:
- [ ] Quick fix - change the 'MAF Norge' text on the homepage to be a caption of the photo rather than a description of what you get when clicking the button.
- [ ] Create a new layout in D8 for case studies including elements of the D7 design
- [x] Migrate/merge (and close the [double URL issue](https://lab.civicrm.org/marketing/civicrm-website/-/issues/71)!)
- [x] Full text search field targeting organization name and executive summary

It would be quite nice to see this plainly on the c.o extension page, perhaps in the area that's currently a gray sidebar, e.g. this section from https://civicrm.org/extensions/symbiotic :

I did not receive it either.
* The mailing seems OK, but we are not listed in the recipients of the mailing
* if I click the (static) group, we are both in it "added"
* the civicrm_subscription_history and civicrm_group_contact tables have only one entry each, look fine
The group has 4660 contacts, but the mailing was sent to only 2086 contacts.
I tried creating a new mailing, and it also estimated only 2080 recipients:

There are only a very small number of posts/nodes that this permission is needed for. As responsible members of the community entrusted with its oversight they are reliable.
There have been efforts undertaken and maintained to limit the number of people with edit access on c.o. This is a good thing as it helps prevent problems, often inadvertent, and ensure there is knowledge of who is doing what.
It can be difficult to manage a rotating crew of users and their perms, and there is very little in the way of superadmin time for this.
I haven't got a sense of the existing roles, or the options for content moderation with the existing setup.
Options:
1. Assign people to existing roles that have more permissions than required for this job.
- requires trust they won't mess things up, sets precedent of users getting extra perms for (laudable) special purpose
2. Create a new role that has appropriate permissions, perhaps after installing software.
- adds complications, no budget, sets precedent of special setup for (laudable) special purpose
In both cases, periodic updates will be required, perhaps a user per year. There is a risk that more users end up getting the access, or the access is not withdrawn in a timely way eg after defeat in an election.https://lab.civicrm.org/marketing/civicrm-website/-/issues/285CiviCRM Extension page: "CiviCRM Compatibility" history is overwhelming2023-01-20T02:24:04Zjustinfreeman (Agileware)CiviCRM Extension page: "CiviCRM Compatibility" history is overwhelmingExample: https://civicrm.org/extensions/form-processor

What is the important information that needs to be conveyed here? Surely this information only needs to be **shown once** and **only for the current release**. All the older versions **prior** to the current release **do not** need to be shown on this page.
Recommended changes:
- Only show the most recent release on this page
- Have an "Archive" or "Release History" link or tab that links to a new "Archive" page
- On the "Archive", show the table
Re-think how the **CiviCRM Compatibility** column is shown, perhaps just show the **oldest and newest compatible versions**, eg. _CiviCRM 4.7 to CiviCRM 5.20_. Instead of showing _CiviCRM 4.7, CiviCRM 5.0, CiviCRM 5.1, CiviCRM 5.2, CiviCRM 5.3, CiviCRM 5.4, CiviCRM 5.20_

The [Find Support page](https://civicrm.org/help) is in the Get Help menu, but is really another menu of options on a page, which includes some of the same or similar options as Get Help. I think it would be simpler to just include all the options in the Get Help menu and get rid of the Find Support page.
So Get Help would include the current options, plus:
Ask a question (for SE)
Chat
Release notes
Trainings could be replaced with Meetups and Training (and the link changed to https://civicrm.org/events).
The only option that is trickier is Report a Bug and The Issue Queue, which are similar, but not the same. Maybe just keep The Issue Queue as it links to Report a Bug in its text, but for someone trying to find out what to do when they think they've found a bug, that page is a little bit roundabout and the title might not be clear. It might also be worthwhile to add a link to Report a Bug right on the top of The Issue Queue page.Community Reorganization Phase 1joshjosh@civicrm.orgjoshjosh@civicrm.orghttps://lab.civicrm.org/marketing/civicrm-website/-/issues/291User registration fails - Uncaught PHP Exception Drupal\Core\Entity\EntitySto...2024-03-08T14:41:24ZbgmUser registration fails - Uncaught PHP Exception Drupal\Core\Entity\EntityStorageException: "'1' is not a valid option for field custom_1"Seems to be happening since the upgrade to CiviCRM 5.55 yesterday.Seems to be happening since the upgrade to CiviCRM 5.55 yesterday.bgmbgmhttps://lab.civicrm.org/marketing/civicrm-website/-/issues/292When editing content: Unable to send email. It seems a bit buried to register your site. It's available under "CiviCRM Resources" dashlet and "Support" nav. I can't recall if there is a prompt after installation. Obviously helping the Civi community is the benefit here, but tying to more benefits would make it more appealing. Looking for brainstorming here.https://lab.civicrm.org/marketing/civicrm-website/-/issues/298Error Make it happen!2023-05-04T13:37:11ZUsha Matisson775-usha.makoa@users.noreply.lab.civicrm.orgError Make it happen!Impossible to "make it happen!"
