Make documentation chat bots less chatty
In general I appreciate the bots which are making things more visible in Mattermost. However in the Documentation channel in particular, lately it's become a bit overwhelming in my opinion. Others echoed this same sentiment today in this short thread.
I don't know how much control we have other this, or who controls it, or where the logic is implemented, but I suggest turning down the volume a bit on these bots, specifically for the bots which post in the documentation channel.
Actions that should continue to trigger a bot post:
- New issue
- New PR/MR opened
- Push
Actions that should not trigger a bot post (but currently do):
- Comments
- Adding/removing labels
- Assigning/un-assigning
- Merging
- Closing
People can choose to follow the ticket/PR/MR if they're interested in further changes to it.
