Does civirules provide the event/participant or contribution context for emailapi to be able to use those tokens in an email?
It would really enhance the use of civirules greatly if this would be the case as civirules has a much greater flexibility in conditions on when to send an email than the scheduled reminders in core.
I know the way civirules is developped and I'm not able to understand or code this myself right now, but at least I would like to understand what is supposed to work at the moment (but maybe doesn't), and what is really still to be developed.

4. Edit the Contribution and change a line item
- Note that tax_amount is 0.00 on this form.
5. Check the line items using SQL - tax_amount is 0.00 - this causes problems with the invoice template ("% GST" with no number) and also account syncing with Xero, which will receive the full amount as tax exclusive (due to 0.00 as a string not being "empty") and add tax on top for accounts tax instead of calculating the percentage of the given amount which is already tax.
Ideal solution – When there is no tax account for the selected financial type,
1. Tax amount field is should be hidden on the line item editor, and
2. Saving the line item should result in the tax_amount column containing NULL

Checking the dbse there is a workflow in the admin/custom data/dropdown options -> 'message template workflow for events' with the name `event_online_receipt` - so I don't think it's that, because this error doesn't appear with a successful event ticket sale. Perhaps the issue is not knowing where to send people if no payment is necessary?

I have a WP + CiviCRM setup using CiviContribute to sign up members taking payment with Stripe. I have a 100% discount code for members with financial hardships.
I recently discovered that when a potential member uses the 100% discount and tries to continue with registration, the confirmation page doesn’t contain any of their information other than email address and they cannot register. The data missing even includes the membership type.
Our form has an additional contribution option and I found that I could put $1 into that field and a valid credit card in, go to confirmation and see my data there, then “GO BACK” to the form, clear out the $1 and I would be able to finish registration with no fee.
This leads me to suspect that there is some sort of handoff that doesn’t occur when the Stripe CC entry and billing address information are not present on the form.
Any assistance would be welcome. Further, if I change the number of registrants to 2, I then see the Civi form, and it shows invalid credit card number. Putting a card number in there results in the ‘invalid positive integer’ error.
