Should Riverlea set the page background? (especially outside of Standalone)

This is a screenshot from WordPress:

It's quite subtle, but you can see at the top of the page (behind the "WordPress 6.7 is available") the background colour is a grey #f0f0f1.

However, the CiviCRM content is on a blue background #8eeef0 (--crm-c-page-background).

I can see how setting the background makes sense on standalone, but on WordPress (and I expect on other CMS') it just feels like a mistake to have two, very similar but different, backgrounds.
