formprotection fails silently, reloads contribution page

I have less info on this item than on the previous two - but upon submitting what should have been a valid contribution (both live and test) the page was simply reloaded, with no indication of what went wrong. I had an uncaptured payment in Stripe but no other indication of what had happened. Uninstalling formprotection resolved this for me but I don't have more info at this time. Once we've made headway on the floodcontrol issue, I'll test this again to see if I can assess what's happening.
