Hi Mathieu - I was wondering if it made sense to merge fieldlookup with this? It'd be nice to have one extension for hierarchical field lookups.
The two use cases fieldlookup handles that I'm not sure this does are:
I'll close this issue because the description has been updated to list alternatives and people can use what works best for them.
Hi @calbasi, I'm happy this extension is useful for you. For extensions to be installable from within CiviCRM (from the "in-app" browser), it would require a bit of review and improvements to make sure it is easy to use. I think a less technical public might be a bit confused on how to use it.
You should still get notifications when upgrades are available, because the extension is listed here:

Hi,
I can't find your extension in my site (Drupal 10, CiviCRM 5.60alpha1)
I've installed it manually, but I think it would be better if the extension would be published with the others, in the Admin UI, because of the nice features (easy install, new updates warnings, etc.)
Ps: not sure if it's only my installation fault (Drupal 10 is, in fact, a bit experimental nowadays) or a common issue.

Thinking out loud: replace the custom SQL query with CRM_Core_BAO_SchemaHandler::createTable($tableParams);
?
where tableParams
:
primary=true
for the primary fieldc.f. how Custom Fields do it. (and needs to be done for the table creation, but also for when adding fields)
or just do:
if (\Civi::settings()->get('logging')) {
$logging = new CRM_Logging_Schema();
$logging->fixSchemaDifferencesFor($table_name);
}
@mmyriam Fixed, thank you!
