Thanks for the confirmation. I'll keep this issue open to remind me to fix the installer, or update the docs.
Yup, that worked. Just selected this module from the dropdown. Thanks so much!
@toby-fz Can you enable the mailsystem module (https://www.drupal.org/project/mailsystem) and set the config manually?
I think something changed at some point, and it's not working like before.
I have added and enabled this module on a Drupal 10 site. I am using the default mailer. If I then test by resetting my password the email I get has the drupal from email rather than the CiviCRM one. If I have the redirect to database CiviCRM setting on I don't get the email in the database. Am I missing some configuration somewhere? Cheers
Done
yep if you can tag it as d10 then it is easier to test - thx
@petednz Any bugs? or it's just a question of tagging it as compatible?
I can do the latter, if it helps testing. I haven't started using D10 yet (and slightly reluctant).

Fix api4 permissions to avoid creating duplicates
I'm seeing the following error trying to send mail from a webform on a D8 site:
PHP message: Error: Class 'Drupal\civicrmmailer\Plugin\Mail\CRM_Core_DAO' not found in /var/www/crm/web/modules/custom/civicrmmailer-d8/src/Plugin/Mail/Civicrmmailer.php on line 68 #0 /var/www/crm/web/modules/contrib/mailsystem/src/Adapter.php(50): Drupal\civicrmmailer\Plugin\Mail\Civicrmmailer->mail(Array)
Assuming fixed, see also 48decfc5
I made the same changes to wp-civicrm-mailer, civicrmmailer-d7 and civicrmmailer-d8. Please test before merging!
This removes deprecated code, converts to API4 and simplifies.
