Add option to not send automated receipts for recurring contributions
I imagine we're not the only ones who would like to send receipts attached to automated workflow messages for one-time donations, but not to send them for recurring donations. Our monthly donors definitely prefer to receive one tax receipt for the year rather than multiple ones and I'm not even sure how this would work if receipts aren't sent for every donation (do donors get a tax receipt for the first donation, but then we manually send the receipts for the 2nd donation onwards?).
Is there a clever way to achieve this? If not, would it make sense to add a setting for this? I think we could just check if a contribution has a recurring contribution id before issuing the receipt.
