Resolve duplicated usage of "extensions directory"
In https://docs.civicrm.org/sysadmin/en/latest/customize/extensions/ (docs/customize/extensions.md
CiviCRM extensions allow you to install additional features for your site. They can provide new functionality in many areas including: Custom Searches, Report Templates and Payment Processors. CiviCRM "native" extensions which have been shared using the Extensions Directory on CiviCRM.org and which have a stable release compatible with your version of CiviCRM can be installed automatically from Administer >> System Settings >> Manage Extensions.
Configure the extensions directory: Before installing extensions, you need to configure a directory where your extensions will be stored.
In the third sentence, "Extensions Directory" means http://civicrm.org/extensions
In the fourth sentence, "extensions directory" means wp-content/plugins/files/civicrm/custom_ext
(etc).
This is a duplicated term used in the CiviCRM community - it's not just here that this "bug" exists. However, this is a particularly bad place for a lack of clarity in usage.
I'm not sure if adding a note to the docs to explain the confusion is the right fix - IMO we ought to fix it "upstream" by using unique terms. "Extensions buffet", anyone?
