Use svg for "Empowered by" logo
Out of the box, CiviCRM contains an "Empowered by CiviCRM" line at the bottom of certain pages, including public-facing screens. Currently this uses civi99.png which has been unchanged for at least 7 years
On some screens, especially high-definition screens, this PNG can look rather blurry. I'd like to suggest that an SVG is used instead.
SVGs now have very good browser support. If we're still worried about IE then we can fallback to the current PNG using some CSS tricks.
The big question is what SVG to use:
- https://civicrm.org/civicrm-marketing-resources looks like it should be the "main" version of the logo, but this adds a "TM" mark which is not in the current civi99.png
- https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:CiviCRM.svg matches civi99.png, although would require a small amount of re-sizing/ cropping to match the current image dimensions.
- Its also worth noting the CiviCRM site header uses a different version of the logo to those used elsewhere.
I'd be tempted to go with option 2. I've tested and the logo looks much clearer when using this SVG! It would be good to get feedback from someone who is more familiar with the correct usage of the CiviCRM brand/ logo though before I open a PR.
