e-notice when saving a contact from the left hand drupal block

And I was going to fix it but my brain started hurting when I looked that code (reproducibly) so I decided to log it in the hope someone else does.

I DID confirm that $group is not used again. I haven't confirm how 'flexible' the downstream fn is about what it
