Custom Fields: Change the 'is searchable' field from checkbox to yes/no radio button and set to required

Is this Field Searchable? is currently disabled by default when a new custom field is added. Most of the time it is missed to configure by the user and some might think why these fields are not displayed on advanced search or on reports.

Can we have this field set to required?
