Some Direction Please?
I apologize in advance, as I know this isn't how this works, but couldn't find another place to post a message. If there is one, apologies but I'm blind, so I missed it.
Looking to contribute a good amount of time to CiviCRM long-term, but new to the project, so don't want to step on any toes or do anything untowards anyone. Checked out the new /civi/ directory, much better than the old /crm/ directory, and looks like you guys are well underway to modernizing CiviCRM and porting over the code base to that /civi/ directory.
Wondering if I could get a little direction, as again, don't want to step on toes here, and hoping to become a long-term contributor. Is there anything you would like me doing? Maybe some additional functionality within the /civi/ directory, then send it in for review to ensure it adheres to your design and style? After looking through that directory, think I have my head wrapped around how you are going about this, so shouldn't be a problem.
If I could by chance get some direction from someone more senior, would be much appreciated. I'm here to help! Briefly, 38 year old Canadian, 19 years professional experience, started in Perl than moved over to PHP with the rest of the industry in about 2006. Not the greatest technical mind out there, but definitely not the worst either.
Please let me know how I can help. If needed, e-mail is matt.dizak@gmail.com.
Thanks, Matt
